She dropped the ball somewhere along the line, though, then sat on my second novel for quite awhile before I finally decided it wasn't worth it to be able to say I had an agent. I entered the book in St. Martin's best first mystery contest and made the short list, but, alas, didn't win. I've done nothing with the two books and have toyed with the idea of going the self-publishing route. Your post and link are one more nudge in that direction for me.
Sherry
www.writesherry.blogspot.comAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10601260252208020046noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071197508859706097.post-77078877323103367582011-12-14T11:29:53.017-05:002011-12-14T11:29:53.017-05:00Thanks, Claire, so glad it helped! Thanks, Claire, so glad it helped!Your Book Starts Herehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07568469874356348872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7071197508859706097.post-78953274392546092032011-12-14T10:59:52.390-05:002011-12-14T10:59:52.390-05:00I need more reminders of this as I write my novel....I need more reminders of this as I write my novel. I am newly self published author and I can tell you I have no intention of ever going the "old fashion" route. Yes, self publishing is work--make no mistake about that--but the benefits and satisfactions are incredible.

I am working on my first novel currently (my first book was an eBook of poetry and short stories)and plan to use either smashwords.com (again) or a print on demand publisher. Thanks again for sharing your expert advice--William Power
http://2dropsofink.blogspot.com/Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07007024585864624025noreply@blogger.com
