Next Week--Join Me for a Wonderful Book-Structuring Workshop

I'll be at the Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis next weekend, December 4-5, teaching my two-day book-structuring workshop. Please join me! The workshop is almost full but a few spots remain. You'll get a real workout with your book idea, taking it from tag line (focus statement) to islands to storyboarding to working plan for finishing it.

For more information or to register, call the Loft at 612-379-8999 or visit www.loft.org and search for "How to Plan, Write, and Develop a Book."

Hope to see you there!

  1. Dear MsMoore,

Sorry if I make any mistakes, I'm not an English speaker.
I've always dreamt of writing a book but I always had the terrible sensation that I wouldn't be able to accomplish that. Too many people asked me lots of times why I was trying to do that. That no one would read except my family and some friends, that I wasn't able of doing it because only gifted people can write. I've been postponing that for too long. I had no idea how to organize myself and what to do in situations where the only thing that you have are 2 written lines and a growing blank in your mind. Well, today I found your blog and by reading it, I've got to the conclusion that what other people may feel about my book is not really important to me. This book is something that has been struggling to be born for too long. My feelings for the story I have in mind are so intense that I've realized that the only thing that really matters is the experience I'm about to have by developing that. It may sound silly, but I really got touched by your texts here. I really liked the exercises too. I'm going to do them. Thanks a lot for letting me see (even though accidentaly) that the passion you put into it is what really matters. Today I have no strings attached in my feelings towards this project. I'm bound to fly.

  3. Thank you, Ana, for your comments, and I wish you all the very best with your writing. It's worth writing whatever your heart tells you is important!
